How I sell products from home from my PC using free software and my desire to learn

There are a few steps to success in selling products and services from home using your PC. I will begin a six part mini course to share my work from home ideas and experience.

Step One: Find a niche market currently in demand

Selling what people don’t want will simply not work. I use the word “want ” because the chances of a person buying what they want is greater than a person buying what they need.

So the first step in starting a business selling from home is to find a business product demand that already exists. It may not be in your best interest to begin creating demands from scratch – Well at least not until you become an experienced marketer. That’s an expensive proposition. Yet, this is where most people begin to make their mistake.

Most of the time people START with their own product of choice without researching the demand for that particular market niche. You do NOT want to start with your product idea at first. Why? Because there may be no demand for it. The way I find demand is by conducting thorough research on 11 possible product ideas. Then I send brief surveys to my customers and prospects. I also offer a free gift as an incentive for answering the survey.

Using Surveys
By using surveys, I let people tell me what they want to buy. Then I provide a way to sell it to them or supply a referral to that product, if I find that the product I do not supply. I find that short and simple surveys increase my response rate.
